Plot Synopsis:
This popular television comedy begins with the shipwreck of the S.S. Minnow in a terrible storm. Gilligan, the Skipper too, a millionaire and his wife, a movie-star, the Professor and Mary Ann are all stranded on the island. Hey, didja see the one where they almost got off the island...?

0. Pilot Ginger, Maryann and the Professor are different people. Mary-Ann's name is Bunny and her character is more like the current Ginger. Ginger is more like Mary-Ann but still called Ginger. The Professor is very much a ladies man. Since the episode never aired, the show was drastically altered, characters were replaced and so was the now, unforgettable theme song.

1. Two on a Raft
First Airdate: 9/26/1964
In the series opener, the castaways find themselves marooned on the island. Gilligan and the Skipper set sail on a home-made raft in an attempt to find help. After sailing for days and battling obstacles such as sharks and Gilligan's unending hunger, they land back on Gilligan's island without realizing it.

2. Home Sweet Hut
First Airdate: 10/3/1964
A hurricane is coming, so the Castaways must quickly build one large community hut in which to weather the storm. However, they soon get on each-others nerves, so they later decide to branch out and build individual huts.

3. Voodoo Something to Me
First Airdate: 10/10/1964
The Skipper fears that the island is full of 'voodoo' when he thinks that Gilligan has been turned into a monkey.

4. "Goodnight Sweet Skipper"
First Airdate: 10/17/1964
The castaways hear on the radio that a plane is going to be flying over their island, but they will be unable to contact them because their transmitter is broken.

5. "Wrongway Feldman"
First Airdate: 10/24/1964
When Gilligan finds an old airplane hidden in the jungle, the Castaways discover a long-forgotten aviator living on the island.

6. "President Gilligan"
First Airdate: 10/31/1964
The castaways decide that they need someone to be the leader on the island, and so they hold elections.

7. "The Sound of Quacking"
First Airdate: 11/7/1964
The Castaways are faced with running out of food, when a blight threatens to destroy many of their plants. When Gilligan finds a duck in the lagoon, a difficult decision must be made.

8. "Goodbye Island"
First Airdate: 11/21/1964
Gilligan discovers a special tree sap that can be used to make a good tasting pancake syrup. Then the professor discovers that the same tree sap also makes a super glue, that may allow the castaways to repair the Minnow.

9. "The Big Gold Strike"
First Airdate: 11/28/1964
Mr. Howell discovers a gold mine on the island. He then hires Gilligan to work in the mine. When gold fever strikes the castaways and Mr. Howell is unwilling to share the gold, they begin to charge outlandish prices for the supplies and food that Mr. Howell needs.

10. "Waiting for Watubi"
First Airdate: 12/5/1964
While digging, the Skipper uncovers a carved statue of a Tiki God. He then believes a curse has fallen on him for disturbing the resting-place of Watubi, and that his days are numbered.

11. "Angel on the Island"
First Airdate: 12/12/1964
Mr. Howell decides to put on a play, staring Ginger, after she begins to suffer from home sickness. Trouble begins, however, when Mrs. Howell decides she wants to play the starring role. Mel Blanc is the voice of the parrot.

12. "Birds Gotta Fly, Fish Gotta Talk"
First Airdate: 12/19/1964
During Christmas, the Castaways get homesick and remember the first day they were shipwrecked. When Santa Claus "appears" on the island, many suspect he is the Skipper in costume. However, just as Santa departs while wishing the Castaways a Merry Christmas, the Skipper appears from the other direction.

13. "Three Million Dollars More or Less"
First Airdate: 12/26/1964
Mr. Howell loses $3 million to Gilligan in a golfing contest. Mr. Howell then tricks Gilligan into trading for a worthless oil well that he owns.

14. "Water Water Everywhere"
First Airdate: 1/2/1965
Talk about a painful irony: though surrounded by water, the Castaways suddenly discover that their supply of fresh drinking water is running out.

15. "So Sorry, My Island Now"
First Airdate: 1/9/1965
The Castaways are captured by a Japanese sailor who thinks that WWII never ended. When the other castaways are captured, it is up to Gilligan to save them.

16. "Plant You Now, Dig You Later"
First Airdate: 1/16/1965
While working for Mr. Howell, Gilligan unearths a chest. The castaways think it must contain a pirate's treasure.

17. "Little Island, Big Gun"
First Airdate: 1/23/1965
A mob leader and his henchmen, fleeing from the police, land on the island.

18. "X Marks the Spot"
First Airdate: 1/30/1965
In a test of a deadly new missile, called "Operation Powder Keg," the Air Force chooses an "uninhabited island" which just happens to be Gilligan's Island.

19. "Gilligan Meets Jungle Boy"
First Airdate: 2/6/1965
Gilligan discovers a jungle boy living on the island. He shows them a hole in the ground that causes objects to float, and the professor theorizes that it is expelling either helium or hydrogen. Kurt Russell is the guest star.

20. "St. Gilligan and the Dragon"
First Airdate: 2/13/1965
Angry because the men haven't kept their promise to build them private houses, the women decide to move to the other side of the island in protest.

21. "Big Man on Little Stick"
First Airdate: 2/20/1965
Handsome surfer Duke Williams rides a giant tsunami to the island. At first, the castaways are excited as Duke thinks he will turn around and surf back to Hawaii (and send help). However, after seeing Mary Ann and Ginger, he decides he may want to stay for a while.

22. "Diamonds Are an Ape's Best Friend"
First Airdate: 2/27/1965
A gorilla is enchanted by Mrs. Howell's perfume and kidnaps her. After Gilligan accidentally spills the perfume all over his shirt, the gorilla decides to release Mrs. Howell and exchange prisoners.

23. "How to be a Hero"
First Airdate: 3/6/1965
After Gilligan is unable to save Mary Ann from drowning in the lagoon, the Skipper must jump in and rescue both of them. The Castaways then devise schemes to boost Gilligan's ego, and help him feel like a hero.

24. "The Return of Wrongway Feldman"
First Airdate: 3/13/1965
The castaways are revisited by 'Wrongway' Feldman.

25. "The Matchmaker"
First Airdate: 3/20/1965
Mrs. Howell decides to engineer a romance between Gilligan and Mary Ann.

26. "Music Hath Charm"
First Airdate: 3/27/1965
Mrs. Howell decides to form a symphony orchestra, to make up for the lack of culture on the island. Gilligan's drum beats, as they drift across the water, hold special meaning to angry natives on a nearby island.

27. "New Neighbor Sam"
First Airdate: 4/3/1965
The Castaways overhear the voices of gangsters discussing buried treasure and threatening their lives. The voices turn out to belong to a parrot, who then leads the castaways to the "treasure."

28. "They're Off and Running"
First Airdate: 4/10/1965
Mr. Howell wins all of the Skipper's possessions betting on turtle races. Even when he feels bad and switches the turtles so that Skipper will finally win, he still wins!

29. "Three to Get Ready"
First Airdate: 4/17/1965
The Skipper insists a stone found by Gilligan will grant the finder three wishes before sundown. The professor, of course, insists it is just superstition.

30. "Forget Me Not"
First Airdate: 4/24/1965
The Professor tries to cure the Skipper's amnesia by hypnotizing him and taking him through time.

31. "Diogenes, Won't You Please Go Home"
First Airdate: 5/1/1965
The Castaways discover that Gilligan has been keeping a secret diary. When they read it, they all seem to disagree with how certain events unfolded and tell their side of the story.

32. "Physical Fatness"
First Airdate: 5/8/1965
Gilligan and the Skipper plan to join the Navy when they are rescued. However, when weighing themselves, they discover that Gilligan must gain weight, while the Skipper must diet.

33. "It's Magic"
First Airdate: 5/15/1965
Gilligan finds a raft, oh wait, no, the Great Raftini's magic trunk. Ginger knows how to use the magical tricks and the castaways plan to use the magic to scare away angry natives if they ever got to their island again.

34. "Goodbye Old Paint"
First Airdate: 5/22/1965
A famous painter who has renounced civilization, Dubov, visits the island (with a short-wave radio, of course). The castaways are hopeful that Dubov will give them his transmitter, but soon discover he does not wish to go back to civilization.

35. "My Fair Gilligan"
First Airdate: 5/29/1965
After Gilligan saves Mrs. Howell's life, Mr. Howell decides to make him his son. He immediately puts Gilligan through basic training to be a millionaire's socialite son (dream sequence), changing the way he walks, talks and dresses. However, Gilligan and the rest of the castaways miss the "old Gilligan."

36. "A Nose By Any Other Name"
First Airdate: 6/12/1965
A fall from a coconut tree gives Gilligan an inflated nose and a deflated ego. When Gilligan decides he wants the Professor to perform plastic surgery on his nose, the Professor pretends to perform the surgery, and instead, relies on the recuperation time behind the bandages to allow the swelling to go down. When the bandages are finally removed, Gilligan decides he is happy with his old nose!

38. Beauty Is as Beauty Does
First Airdate: 9/23/1965
In a beauty contest, the Skipper favors Ginger; Mr. Howell, his wife; and the Professor, Mary Ann. The deciding vote is Gilligan's, but he's sure to hurt someone's feelings.

39. The Little Dictator
First Airdate: 9/30/1965
Nehemiah Persoff plays an exiled dictator ruling the castaways in an episode that series creator Sherwood Schwartz calls his favorite. The story's fleshed out with an imaginative dream sequence and typical “Gilligan” shtick, but according to Schwartz, “the serious theme was quite evident.”

40. Smile, You're on Mars Camera
First Airdate: 10/14/1965
Scientists believe they've discovered life on Mars, unaware that their space probe's cameras are really observing the castaways. Corwell: Booth Colman. Bancroft: Arthur Peterson.

41. The Sweepstakes
First Airdate: 10/21/1965
Gilligan claims to have the winning ticket in a million-dollar sweepstakes; the Howells open an exclusive country club and deny fellow castaways membership.

42. Quick Before It Sinks
First Airdate: 10/28/1965
The castaways' fortunes are at a low ebb, as the Professor's findings indicate the island is sinking. The solution: build an ark to escape.

43. Castaway Pictures Presents
First Airdate: 11/4/1965
Using salvaged motion-picture equipment, the castaways make an arty---and hammy---film about their shipwrecked plight.

44. Agonized Labor
First Airdate: 11/11/1965
Who doesn't want to be a millionaire? Certainly not Thurston Howell III, who fears that his industrial empire has collapsed. He's really down in the dumps, and his fellow castaways seek to cheer him up.

45. Nyet, Nyet---Not Yet

Distrust clouds the relationship between the castaways and two Russian cosmonauts, who have accidentally landed on the island.

46. Hi-Fi Gilligan

A loose filling turns Gilligan's head into a radio receiver---and turns him into the castaways' link with the outside world.

47. The Chain of Command

Who should be the Skipper's second-in-command? To find out, the old salt stages a scenario testing leadership abilities.

48. Don't Bug the Mosquitoes

The Wellingtons, who sing the series theme, play three members of a mop-topped rock group seeking refuge on the isle from fans.

49. Gilligan Gets Bugged

The bite of a rare insect may imperil Gilligan, whose fellow castaways scurry to round up the ingredients for an antidote.

50. Mine Hero

51. Erika Tiffany-Smith to the Rescue

Zsa Zsa Gabor portrays a yachting socialite who intends to turn the island into a resort---and winds up falling for the Professor.

52. Not Guilty

Suspicions abound that one of the castaways may be guilty of murder. Whodunit? The islanders re-create the crime scene: a store on the mainland where they were each shopping at the same time.

53. You've Been Disconnected

An undersea telephone cable washes ashore, giving the castaways hope of rigging it to make a long-distance call for help.

54. The Postman Cometh

Misunderstanding Gilligan's lament, Mary Ann fears that she's dying. She's not, but the radio has reported that her boyfriend has eloped. Mary Ann: Dawn Wells. Gilligan: Bob Denver.

55. Seer Gilligan

Thanks to dining on rare berries, Gilligan can read minds. Soon, the other castaways start hastily munching---and angrily bickering.

56. Love Me, Love My Skipper

Plans for the Howells' annual society gala run afoul of the Skipper, who hasn't received an invitation and thinks he's being snubbed.

57. Gilligan's Living Doll

A downed robot could help the castaways. All it has to do is carry a message to Hawaii---by walking there on the ocean floor.

58. Forward March

The culprit throwing grenades at the castaways turns out to be a gorilla, which has unearthed an arsenal from WWII.

59. Ship Ahoax

Isolation takes its toll as the castaways turn quarrelsome. It's up to Ginger to change the mood---as a cheery fortune-teller.

60. Feed the Kitty

A lion that's loose on the island befriends Gilligan, who treats its injured paw. But other castaways sure look good enough to eat.

61. Operation Steam Heat

The discovery of a hot-water spring indicates the presence of a volcano, which the Professor determines is ready to erupt.

62. Will the Real Mr. Howell Please Stand Up?

Jim Backus has a dual role: as Howell, and as an impostor back in the States who's posing as him---and spending his money.

63. Ghost-a-Go-Go

Richard Kiel (who portrayed James Bond's nemesis Jaws) plays a ghostly figure trying to scare the castaways off the isle.

64. Allergy Time

Itching and sneezing fits plague the Skipper, who believes he's allergic---to Gilligan. Then the Professor has a similar reaction, and eventually, so do the other castaways.

65. Friendly Physician

Imagine Gilligan's mind in Howell's body. That's among the experiments of a mad doctor (Vito Scotti), who also exchanges the minds and bodies of Mrs. Howell and the Skipper, and Mary Ann and the Professor. I

68. Meet the Meteor

A crate of molding plastic washes ashore and the castaways start using it but are unaware that it is actually an explosive.

Natives arrive on the island in search of a "white goddess" to feed to their volcano.

Plot Synopsis:
When a decaying Russian satellite crashes on the island, the Professor uses a key component for a barometer. With that device, he learns that a massive wave is going to swamp the island. In desperation, the castaways lash their huts together into one structure in order to have any chance to ride the disaster out. The wave strikes the island and the hut is swept out to sea. Once there, Gilligan accidents starts a fire trying to cook a meal and nearly burns the floating hut down. Occupied with stopping the fire, the gang fails to notice that the smoke caught the attention of a naval helicopter who summoned a ship to rescue the castaways. In triumph, they return to Hawaii, only to learn that things have changed over the years and they will have trouble fitting in. To further complicate matters, two Russian spies are after that the key component that Gilligan now wears as necklace.
