Greatest Common Denominators
The greatest common divisor (gcd), also known as the greatest common denominator, greatest common factor (gcf), or highest common factor (hcf), of two or more non-zero integers, is the largest positive integer that divides the numbers without a remainder.
Prime Numbers
Prime numbers are numbers that have only 2 factors: 1 and themselves. For example, the first 5 prime numbers are 2, 3, 5, 7, and 11. By contrast, numbers with more than 2 factors are call composite numbers.
Factors of Each Number
The factors of a number are the numbers that divide evenly into the number.
Prime Factors of Each Number
The prime factors of a number are all the prime numbers that, when multiplied together, equal the original number.
