The Simpson kids plot a Krusty Komeback Special, recruiting Luke Perry, the Red Hot Chili Peppers and some of the famous friends the clown has made over the years, including Johnny Carson, Bette Midler and Hugh Hefner. With this roster (the real-life stars doing their own voices), the comeback is spectacular: Bette crawls on Krustyʹs desk and sings “Wind Beneath My Wings,” and Hef coaxes a tune from water-filled glasses, but the standout moment of this star-studded episode is Carsonʹs appearance. What does he do? A few Carson jokes? A little magic? “Actually, I thought Iʹd lift this 1987 Buick Skylark over my head.” Then Carson even tops himself: He spins the car over his head while singing opera.
