1959 Daytime Schedules-Pacific Time Zone Edition

For Pacific Time, ABC followed the Eastern time zone show slotting pattern in Southern California that I know of from seeing the TV listings to XETV 6 and KABC 7 (the owned and operated ABC station in Los Angeles).

For the CBS shows, the 10am ET-1pm ET shows followed the Central Time Zone slotting airing from 9am-NOON. The 1:30pm-5pm ET shows followed the Eastern Time Zone slotting pattern, but possibly on Labor Day 1960, September 5, the shows in that time range ET shifted up one hour to 12:30pm-4pm so that the entire CBS Daytime lineup (not counting the early morning shows and Captain Kangaroo) for the Pacific Time Zone followed Central Time Zone slotting, and hasn't changed since then, so obviously, it works well for the Western affiliates.

Finally for NBC, the shows airing from 10am-1pm ET followed Central Time zone slotting of the 9am-NOON range. For the 2pm-5pm ET shows, the Pacific Feed followed the Mountain Time Zone slotting of the 12pm-3pm range, resulting in the 1-2pm ET break placed at the end of the NBC Daytime Pacific feed for the day at 3pm. That will change on June 29, 1964 when NBC shifts its late Daytime lineup for the time zones east of Pacific Time as will be explained in 1964 then.

Notes

NBC aired "Queen For A Day" from January 3, 1956 to September 2, 1960, and aired it live across the nation (initially 1:30 PST in Los Angeles and 4:30 EST in New York).
