In 2000, Rascal Flatts released their self titled debut studio album. The album produced four singles on the Billboard country charts in "Prayin' for Daylight", "This Everyday Love", "While You Loved Me" and "I'm Movin' On", all of which charted in the Top Ten on the Hot Country Songs charts.

In 2000, The mindless sitcom “M.Y.O.B.” premiered on….not the WB, would you believe NBC? Yes, the same network that gave us forgettable sitcoms has done it again!

In 2000, The science-fiction flick “Titan A.E.” became the first full-length feature film to be shipped over the Internet to a movie theater. Produced by 20th Century Fox, the movie was sent from Qwest headquarters in the Los Angeles area to a movie theater in Atlanta, Georgia, to be shown during the local Supercomm exhibition. “Titan A. E.” premiered in theaters across the United States June 16. It is the first film to be distributed via the Internet. “Star Wars: Episode I — The Phantom Menace” last year became the first movie to be shown entirely over the Internet. Dubbed by actors Matt Damon, Drew Barrymore and John Leguizamo, “Titan A.E.” tells the story of a group of Earthlings who survive the destruction of their planet, only to become refugees in a nearby galaxy controlled by hostile aliens.

In 2000, Thanks to the Angelsʹ video crew playing a clip from the 1994 movie “Ace Ventura, Pet Detective” on the JumboTron, the Rally Monkey is born. The Anaheim Angels were losing to the San Francisco Giants. With the words “Rally Monkey” superimposed over a monkey jumping up and down in the Jim Carrey movie, the crowd goes wild as Anaheim scores two runs in the bottom of the ninth to beat the Giants, 6-5.

In 2002, Aiden Turner debuted on All My Children in the role of Aidan Devane. Note the difference in the spellings of his name and the role he plays just to confuse soap viewers who can't notice which of Aiden or Aidan was the character or the actor who played one of the names.
