Organizers will not register the new bench with Guinness, since they plan to dismantle it when the six-month Japan Flora 2000 expo on Awajishima Island, about 300 miles from Tokyo, ends in September. “We just wanted to give people a place to sit and look at the flowers,” Izumi said.
