DuMont 1950

1950/04/10-Eastern (subtract one hour for Central Time)

On its first schedule change since December 12, almost four months ago, "Kitchen Fare" is added while "Margaret Johnson" leaves again!

Since January 16, DuMont was the only network programming anything in daytime from 10:45am until 04:00pm. CBS began at 04:00pm, ABC began at 05:00pm, and NBC began at 5:15pm. As we will see as the years progress, the latter three networks went slow on expansion in daytime while DuMont grew fast like a giant star, then fizzled and eventually went out of business in 1956.

Next week, however, DuMont would drop the two-hour show.

1950/04/17-Eastern (subtract one hour for Central Time)

DuMont dropped its two-hour "Shopper's Paradise." As of this time, no network programmed anything from 2-4pm ET, and 10-10:45pm ET for that matter either.

1950/05/08-Eastern (subtract one hour for Central Time)

DuMont takes back the 10am-10:45 time slots. "Your Television Babysitter" and "The Susan Raye Show" were added. "Morning Chapel" was dropped so "Kitchen Fare" could expand to 30 minutes

DuMont would make no changes until November 13.

"Man on the Street" and "Susan Raye" leave the schedule. "It's In The Bag" airs on Thursdays. I'm not sure if DuMont programming at 1:30 on any of the other weekdays.

Looks like DuMont took another dump. It lost the 10am-NOON ET shows. It was down to 90 minutes weekdays, except Thursdays when it was for two hours. By this time, CBS started programing at 1:30 ET and NBC began at 3pm ET. ABC stalled at 5pm. This is the last change for DuMont in 1950.
