Also checked KVSD-LD. No changes.

KSDX Changes

Shop HQ went online only in April 2025, so the channel no longer provides programming for the world of over-the-air broadcasting. Broadcast stations, cable TV, and satellite providers have replaced the space used for Shop HQ with other programming.

KSDX made numerous changes, dropping some networks and adding new networks. I drove over to a hill about two miles away from San Miguel Mountain just east of Chula Vista and south of Spring Valley. As I can't get KSDX from my home except for 9.1 and 9.4 with video, I drove on down and observed that the new lineup looks like.

KSDY Check

While on the hill near San Miguel Mountain, I also checked the lineup for KSDY 50. Canal de La Fe TV on 50.4 was swapped for Visión Latina sometime this year.

KZTC-LD Selling. FCC Grants Move to 25. sbe36.org reports that the purchaser of KZTC-LD channel 7 has won a grant by the FCC to move its new purchased station to UHF channel 25 on May 20, 2025. There is a low power station near Vista, KHAX-LD, that has been broadcasting on channel 25 there, and there is a possiblilty that KZTC-LD's signal might interfere with reception of KHAX-LD in some places in North County unless KZTC-LD moves its transmitter to another location where its signal would minimally interfere with KHAX-LD, both sharing channel 25 in San Diego county.

Also, on KFMB-DT's sub channels, LAFF TV has left its lineup. Quest takes over the KFMB-DT3 slot while NOSEY takes over the KFMB-DT5 slot. LAFF TV has moved to KGTV-DT5.

KGTV made some changes too, replacing Scripps News with LAFF TV on KGTV-DT5. Busted replaces Jewelry TV on KGTV-DT6.

Titan TV is listing Charge! on KBNT-DT3, Comet on KBNT-DT4, and Roar on KBNT-DT6, but rabbit ears San Diego doesn't list them on their page. I have checked KBNT and there are only two multicast channels on it. KBNT dropped those three channels last year or the year before. Roar is the new name for the TBD channel.

KRPE-NX analog 6 and virtual 23.1 lists Jewlery TV on Titan TV, but Independent on rabbit ears San Diego. I don't have a NextGen TV to check for sure.

Updated February 19, 2025, always subject to change.

Due to the purchase of the station formerly known as KWHY by the Church of Scientology, The call letters of KWHY were changed to KSCN-DT. KSCN-DT shares radio frequency channel 4 under a channel sharing agreement with a Garden Grove-licensed TV station formerly known as KBEH-DT, now known as KWHY-DT, otherwise known as a licensed TV station without a frequency of its own to use, so KSCN-DT, the host, is sharing its channel spectrum with its permanent resident, KWHY-DT, on the same single 6MHz television channel while the now-both independent stations retain their licenses and their rights. Channel sharing also means they share the same transmitter in order to channel share, but broadcast on either the upper half or the lower half of the 6MHz spectrum the transmitter transmits with on a single licensed TV channel. Two or more virtual channels still apply, and the two sharing stations can have multiplexed channels with their own virtual channels as well.

Other channel sharing agreements are listed here, such as KABC-DT (Host) sharing their spectrum with KRCA-DT, KNSD-DT (Host) with KUAN-LD, KSCI-DT (Host) with KOCE-DT, KHTV-CD (Host) with KAZA-DT, KPXN-DT (Host) with KILM-DT, KCET-DT (Host) with KLCS-DT, KTLA-DT (Host) with KCOP-DT (Temporary Resident due to KCOP-NX repurposed as a NextGen broadcasting format), which leads us to KCOP-NX, with KCOP-NX as host, and guest residents KCBS-NX, KTLA-NX, KTTV-NX and KNBC-NX taking up residence until they get their NextGen transmitters up and running.

KSDX-LD is broadcasting 15 subchannels. Here they are, according to my old TV that I used to pick up the channels from about 15-20 miles away. All except the subchannels 1 and 4 show no picture on my TV. I guess I need a new TV! I drove up near the transmitter with a portable TV to get the pictures with the audio.
