Product Description: "Let's Play the Feud" Richard Dawson is the original and best host of the FAMILY FEUD during it's almost thirty year run on television and this collection of episodes feature some of the best episodes featuring movie and television stars. In 1978, while Feud was the number one game show on daytime television, ABC started producing primetime specials. Each one-hour show featured five members of a cast of a television series competing for charity. The show also had special theme weeks where stars played for five days either on the daytime show or the syndicate show.

D.T. Note: Among frequencies or lack of it, Eight is Enough is featured the most at six times, Love Boat four, Dallas twice, and One Day at a Time once.

I miss the days when prime time television had so many good TV shows to choose from, so I watched as many as I could. Nowadays, we can get them on DVD and relive our memories of the glory days of when we once enjoyed TV. One of the forgotten series being featured in a Feud is "Angie", which lasted just two seasons and featured the late adorable Debralee Scott ("American Graffitti"). Two Sherwood Schwartz series that were popular in reruns, "The Brady Bunch" and "Gilligan's Island", get a shot in the Feud.

These series of specials give a time capsule look at what the primary stars of each of the series looked like back during the silver and soap eras of television. The early specials were mostly from the Silver era of sitcoms, while the specials from 1980 on were influenced by the rising popularity of both daytime and prime-time Soaps, namely Dallas and General Hospital.

Among the cast members of the series listed, only one featured Family Feud in an episode. "Angie" did so in November of 1979. Another TV series, "Mama's Family", featured the Feud in an episode in early 1983.
