On this date, NBC replaced reruns of "Real Life" with "John Tesh" in the 11 ET, 10 CT/PT slot. In the 11:30 ET, 10:30 CT/PT slot, NBC canceled "Classic Concentration" and replaced it with reruns of it until December 31, 1993. NBC had run out of steam in the early daytime and was ready to give up one hour of its daytime programming block on September 23. "Cover" and "Wheel" were canceled during the late summer.

On this date, Fox expands its Fox Kids programming block to 90 minutes a day, with 60 minutes of it programmed in the early morning hours. Times for the Fox Kids blocks vary by market and time zone.

NBC lost 90 minutes of its early daytime schedule in two and a half years! The decline of NBC Daytime was underway and more changes and contractions would follow as documented as you will see.
