On this date, NBC gives the 3 ET, 2 CT/PT slot to local affillates after its last airing of "Santa Barbara," but takes back the 12 ET, 11 CT/PT slot for programming. It readds "Scrabble" there, and replaced "Dr. Dean" with "Scattergories" at 12:30 ET, 11:30 CT/PT. The game show count went back up to five.

For the time being, NBC had a continuous daytime block running for four hours straight.
