The Eight Is Enough reunion took place Monday on The Today Show minus Adam Rich (Nicholas) and Susan Richardson (Susan), of which the first segment can be seen here at TV Series Finale here. Adam Rich had a letter read on air for the NBC morning program saying, in part, that "I am there in spirit" while Susan Richardson was dissed totally by not even being mentioned by any of the cast. Eight Is Enough Reunion Without Adam Rich and Susan Richardson Raised More Questions than Actually Satisfied. [One problem with a TV reunion]...[when] a number of the cast, for whatever reason, doesn't appear, making such reunions feel really incomplete, especially when two integral characters like Adam Rich and Susan Richardson were left out.

Neil sent me this news that one episode of "Eight is Enough" is coming to DVD on a Warner Brothers Made-To-Order DVD set called "Warner Bros DVD Christmas package. The episode was from Christmas of 1977.
Excerpt: Warner Bros. has revealed that on November 9th they are releasing an MOD (manufacture-on-demand) title, exclusively available via their WBshop.com online store, titled the "Classic TV Christmas Collection". This multiple-disc DVD set features one holiday episode each from various TV series in the Warner library. Here's what they list:
* CHiPs * Alice * Welcome Back, Kotter * Suddenly Susan * Veronica's Closet * The Courtship of Eddie's Father * Perfect Strangers * Dr. Kildare * Mama's Family * Eight is Enough
According to tvshowsondvd.com, Eight is Enough is one of the most requested not-on-DVD television properties that's owned by Warner, currently ranked #40 on their overall "unreleased" list. This past spring we were told that the hold-up is related to the cost of releasing the show (after you factor in the price of cleaning up the original elements, in addition to all the other necessary production costs). It looks like at least one episode has been prepped for DVD release. Hopefully this means that more could be on the way!
