Plot Synopsis: Sabrina Spellman, a perfectly normal 16-year-old, is informed by her aunts, Hilda and Zelda, that she (and they, and her whole family on her father's side) are witches. She lives with them in Massachusetts while preparing to receive her witch's license. Along the way, she gets into many scrapes while figuring out how certain spells work. She also has to keep the secret from her boyfriend, Harvey, friends Jenny and later Valerie, stuck-up nemesis Libby, and her ever-suspicious vice-principal, Mr. Kraft.
In this comical adventure, based on the popular Archie Comics heroine, Sabrina, a modern-day sorcerer's apprentice, lives with her two eccentric aunts. As if dealing with the ups and downs of high school life isn't tough enough for an adolescent to handle, Sabrina is given a big surprise for her 16th birthday -- she's a teenage witch!
Guided by her aunts, who come from a long line of witches, and Salem, a mischievous warlock doing penance as a black cat, Sabrina struggles to harness her newfound powers while unwittingly wreaking havoc on friends and foes alike. Adding to the task, Sabrina must keep her special talents under wraps from those closest to her, including her good friend, Harvey, who has a special place in his heart for Sabrina; Libby, Westbridge High School's most popular and pretentious cheerleader, who would love to see Sabrina fall flat on her face; Valerie, Sabrina's insecure best friend; and Sabrina's nemesis, Mr. Kraft, the high school's vice principal, who suspects that there is something a little peculiar about Sabrina.
After struggling through her first year as a witch and getting into lots of harmless trouble along the way, Sabrina realizes that magic isn't quite as easy as just wiggling your nose. It's going to take a lot of practice! In fact, this year, Sabrina must pass a series of responsibility tests, administered by a witch named The Quizmaster, so that she can officially acquire her witch's license.
The series stars Melissa Joan Hart as Sabrina, Caroline Rhea as Aunt Hilda, Beth Broderick as Aunt Zelda, Nate Richert as Harvey, Nick Bakay as the voice of Salem, and other stars.
