06-16-1983: Frank Zappa makes a rare television appearance on Late Night. His new albums are "The Man From Utopia" and "Baby Snakes."

06-16-1986: Late Night begins broadcasting from Studio 8-H, home of SNL, for the summer, as its regular studio is being revamped. Dave leaves the studio and steals plants from Phil Donahue's set in 8-G.

06-16-1987: Larry "Bud" shows slides from his weekend in Los Angeles with Sally Struthers.

06-16-1989: Dave and Bob Hope try to visit Live at Five but are unable to get past the locked doors.

06-16-1992: Dave and Paul compete in a battle of spit-takes in Dave's Summertime Checklist.

06-16-1992: Top Ten Items on the Bush/Yeltsin Summit Agenda - 3. Determine official spelling of "potato." 8. Work out joint custody of Yakov Smirnoff.

06-16-1993: Top Ten New Diet Pepsi Slogans - 6. Every can inspected by Ray Charles.

06-16-1994: "CBS Anchor" Alan Richardson interrupts the show with a special report on Mr. Bundles, his ceramic monkey.

06-16-1994: Guest Jon Lovitz tap dances and performs opera.

06-16-1994: Top Ten Signs Ben (of Ben & Jerry's) Has Gone Nuts - 9. Latest batch of "Cherry Garcia" contains beard fragments and guitar picks.

06-16-1995: Englebert Humperdinck sings inside the Hello Deli, later joined by Rupert. The Dog-Cam is displayed, with Travis the dog. He, too, joins Englebert later on the show.

06-16-1995: The Top Ten Kindergarten Pet Peeves is written and drawn by Miss Markey's class in Maryland.

06-16-1995: Top Ten Rejected Batman Villains - 2. Connie and her Chung gun.

06-16-1997: Dave takes deliveries from inside a NYC apartment.

06-16-1997: Dave talks about the new Disney movie "Hercules" in which Paul is the voice of Hermes.

06-16-1997: Late Show Action Figures includes one of Dave.

06-16-1997: Top Ten Signs You're Watching a Bad Action Movie - 2. Movie's only "action" involves Frank Gifford and a flight attendant.

06-16-1998: Alan Kalter, in a taped bit, does the show's intro a little oddly.

06-16-1998: Barbara Gaines prepares a comedy bit at the last minute.

06-16-1998: Dave announces the upcoming (June 30) Charts and Graphs, and we see a "clip" of people camping out for tickets to the June 30th show.

06-16-1998: In "Small Town News", Dave calls a newspaper but gets no answer.

06-16-1998: The Top Ten list has no topic whatsoever. Closing music has lyrics "no topic to Top Ten".

06-16-1998: World Cup '98 Highlights: fighting.

06-16-1999: Guests: Brandi Chastain of the the US Women's Soccer Team; Seth Green promotes "Austin Powers II"; one of the "Friends" appears.

06-16-1999: Secret Word is "pigment" for 600 damn dollars (sponsor: Hosie Cow).

06-16-1999: Top Ten Things Kenneth Starr Has Found Out About Al Gore (closing music: "Fire"--the Ohio Players).

06-16-1999: We get Nutley, NJ, prom footage in the "Prom Quiz". Also, Gato Barbieri of Argentina sits in with the band all night long (saxophone).

06-16-2000: Campaign 2000, starring Maria Pope, sponsored by CBS TV ("some are popular"). Dave says "God bless the Pacers". In "Biff at the NBA Finals", Biff finds "celebrities".

06-16-2000: CBS Mailbag: (1) Dave's car is trashed by Laker fans; (2) running of the bulls in Pamplona vs running of the taxi cabs in New York; (3) "Dave's mom" (Alan) shows up for the weekend; (4) the first guy voted off the "Survivor" island: Gerard Mulligan plays himself.

06-16-2000: In honor of Father's Day, it's Top Ten Signs Your Kids Hate You - 6. Instead of watching Daddy's late night talk show, they watch that hump Jay Leno. Dave does a Leno imitation....

06-16-2000: Stupid Pet Tricks: (1) a Jack Russell terrier ("Air Max") does a handstand; (2) a border terrier goes up stairs backwards; (3) a dog who has been on the show 5 times (Zeke?) suffers through Dave stepping on his tail and bites at Dave--a clip that gets replayed over and over in subsequent days.
