In the first scheduling change of the year, NBC replaces reruns of "The Facts of Life" with a new game show "Time Machine," airing at 10 ET, 9 CT/PT, which lasts just under four months.

The last edition of "NBC Special Treat" aired on January 29. No more afterschool specials would air on NBC afterwards.

It, like the program that it replaced, suffered from low ratings due to heavy competition from CBS and NBC. The nine-year-old game show "Family Feud" also suffered so much in ratings that it was canceled in late spring. ABC would move "Blitz" to "Feud"'s time slot in June.
