Each hand on the pallet has three cards, with one being a Ten or a Face card, and the other two cards (a 2 and a 9, a 3 and an 8, a 4 and a 7, or a 5 and a 6) that add up to eleven to form a value of 21.
Each Ace card is worth 21 points, except in the 56-card deck version, whereas the Ace would count as eleven points due to the addition of a Knight or another card with a value of ten.
Each player has an unlimited number of pallets for new hands, unlike Blackjack, whereas you have just one hand.
After a draw to see which player begins tha game, the first player draws a card.
At that point, there are no cards on any hands on any player. The player takes the card and places it on the first pallet to make a new hand.
The second player then draws a card and places it on the player's first pallet to make a hand.
Each player takes turns drawing cards and building piles of 21s on their hands.
If a hand has a ten or a face card on it, then it needs two cards of these pairings only: (2 and 9, 3 and 8, 4 and 7, or 5 and 6).
If a hand has a number card ranging from a 2 to a 9, then it needs a corresponding card that, when added to the card in the hand, totals 11.
When the hand has a pair of cards that total eleven, then all it needs is a ten or a face card to make a 21.
You cannot make a hand with two cards with values of ten, as there are no cards with a value of one.
You cannot make a 21 combo in a hand without a ten or a face card, so combinations that look like three seven's, or a 6-7-8, 5-8-8, 4-8-9, 3-9-9, or a 5-7-9 combo, are also illegal in this game.
