10-14-1982: Houston investigative reporter Marvin Zindler discusses his biggest story from 1973, a whorehouse in Texas, which later served as the basis for the successful Broadway musical, then film.

10-14-1986: Musician Bob Seger cancels his appearance on the show, so Paul and the band plays Seger's music all night. Meanwhile, Jay Leno brings out a beaten-up Chris Elliott, who had impersonated Jay two weeks ago.

10-14-1987: A catch phrase for home runs is chosen. Dave then calls Al Michaels and asks him to say "Elvis has left the building" whenever a home run is hit during the baseball playoffs.

10-14-1997: Stevie Starr, master regurgitator, first appearing on Late Night in 1988, makes his return appearance nine years later.

10-14-1999: As the show returns from the last commercial break, we see that Corky has been singing.

10-14-1999: Coming out of the last commercial break, we see that Corky has been singing.

10-14-1999: Dave talks about the new swear word being used on "Chicago Hope". Later, Top Ten Other Ways CBS Is Pushing the Envelope - 2. "S**T". The Top Ten list is done in the middle of the Malkovitch interview with him just sitting there.

10-14-1999: Some guest promotes "Being John Malkovich".

10-14-1999: Warren Zevon sits in for Paul.
