This Dave in History November 28

11-28-1983: Dave appears tonight in casual dress (no suit nor tie), so Paul takes off his tie and drummer Steve Jordan takes off his shirt. A hair center delivers five pounds of hair, which will be given away on later shows to audience participants of "Brush with Greatness."

11-28-1984: Explained only as a "noble experiment," the guest chairs appear on the opposite side of Dave's desk for the next six shows. "Who Asked For It": Participant #4 needs a seven-letter word for a large acquatic bird that stores food in its bill. Dave answers "Pelican" and asks if he's doing a crossword puzzle. "No, it's a job application."

11-28-1986: It's the second (of two) Annual Holiday Film Festival. Dave, Michael J. Fox, Diane Sawyer, Jonathan Winters, and Chris Elliott air films produced especially for the show. One of the young boys in a Show and Tell segment (his feat: playing a harmonica through his nose) is later escorted down the NBC hall by Miss USSR and stares up at her in amazement and delight.

11-28-1990: Orville Redenbacher's Top Ten Most Horrifying Secrets - 10. That's not his grandson; that's his "longtime companion."

11-28-1991: Tonight, Biff Henderson's Golf Cart of Death drives into a Pyramid of Pink Champagne. Also, Dave challenges Kreskin (who's still in the green room) to guess the weight of his mom Dorothy's turkey. Kreskin: "62 pounds."

11-28-1994: Top Ten Signs That You're A Shopaholic - 6. Your name is Sally Johnson, and now there's a store called "Gap for Sally Johnson."

11-28-1995: After a rare failed live remote, Dave climbs onto his desk, takes off his jacket, and almost drops his pants. There are no lawsuits.

11-28-1997: Dave does a card trick. Then, "Paul and Dave's Card Trick: The Secret Revealed".

In the beginning there are no customers! By show segment 5, he sold a Hartman bag to woman. We miss the sale but get to watch him write up the receipt. Dave says it's like watching Mozart.
