11-30-1982: During a "Having a Baby" segment of "Do's and Don't's with Frank and Fred," Card #5 instead plugs Bob Hope's NBC show later in the week, a special called "Winter Wonderland." Head Stagehand Jimmy Fitzgerald returns the card to Live-at-Five across the hall.
11-30-1983: It's the second special International Night as Lev Schneider, the Kreskin of Russia, finds a bag of wigs in the RCA building. Also appearing are Mel Conchita, the Steve Martin of Peru, and Otto Blihovde, the Kenny Rogers of Norway.
11-30-1985: It's the first Annual Holiday Film Festival: Dave, Michael Keaton, Andrea Martin and Catherine O'Hara, Bette Midler, and Harry Shearer air films made especially for the special. Also, The World's Most Dangerous Band debut their first music video "Dress Cool" (though, as has been pointed out, isn't really a "video"). Baseball legend Harmon Killebrew's film is bumped, so the show devotes an entire hour to him the following February.
11-30-1988: Dave starts to read the Top Ten Least Popular Candy Bars, but it doesn't match the list on the tv screen. So Dave goes backstage and finds Steve Martin typing the wrong list, explaining that he's now immersed in the technical side of broadcasting, depressed over his falling career. Dave tries to convince Steve to finish the Top Ten, but Steve refuses and walks out, finding himself in front of the studio audience. Given a standing ovation, Steve is persuaded to read the list, gaining confidence with each number, finally hugging Dave and exclaiming, "I'm back and in a big way!"
