12-11-1985: A return segment of "The Guy Under the Seats": Tonight's feature is an episode from "The Lost Episodes: Miracle Under the Seats," seen in black-and-white. Later, as the host and champion egg peeler Barbara Avant compete peeling eggs, Dave asks, "At what point did you lose your mind?"

12-11-1987: Miles Davis makes a rare appearance on network television, performing "We Three Kings" with The World's Most Dangerous Band (with Dave Sanborn). Not so coincidentally, it's the same song he, Paul, Sanborn, and guitarist Larry Carlton cameo in the following year's Bill Murray film, "Scrooged."

12-11-1992: Top Ten General Electric Holiday Traditions - 4. Employees get a satchel and 30 seconds to gather all the broken light bulbs they can. 2. Staffers gather around the glow of co-workers exposed to radiation in G.E. power plants.

12-11-1995: After Dave and Morty visit the new CBS store located on the corner, a videotape of the moment reveals that Morty is caught stealing a pencil. Later, Martha Stewart ice sculptures a Christmas tree with a chainsaw.

12-11-1995: Top Ten Good Things About a Cold Snap - 4. Husbands of Anna Nicole Smith stay fresher longer.

12-11-1996: Dave calls the corner pay phones, but no one answers. He finally steps outside and tells anyone to pick up the phone. After Phil answers it, Dave has to scream at him to come inside.

12-11-1997: "Ad" for Latrell Sprewell Lozenges: "Suspend your sore throat for a year."

12-11-1997: Fake clip of Clinton's dog tied up outside Hooters.

12-11-1997: Guests Nathan Lane ("Mouse Hunt"), Hazelle Goodman ("Deconstructing Harry"), and Mitch Fatel.

12-11-1997: More promotion for the Late Show CD--as a CD-ROM it shows a buff picture of Paul Shaffer.

12-11-1997: Top Ten Highlights Of Clinton's Visit To New York - 3. Brought in Da Noise and Da Funk, then hid them and denied they ever existed.

12-11-1998: CBS Mailbag: (1) Dave sings about his truck? (2) Dave writes to Santa, who is in jail; (3) different guests react to different colognes Dave wears; (4) clip of Dave in "Psycho", and a clip of Biff's version.

12-11-1998: Guest Tom Brokaw wears a turtleneck (and sports jacket). So later, Dave appears in a blue turtleneck, the band wears turtlenecks, and we get to see still photos of other people in turtlenecks. Also, Top Ten Least Popular Holiday TV Specials.

12-11-2000: A desk story: Dave was in a bookstore recently, when a big guy came in and said, "Do you have any books on squirrels?"

12-11-2000: Canadian Election Crisis 2000: The Battle for Prime Minister: Day 14: On Nov 27, Jean Chretien won by a landslide. Today, he is still the winner. No recounts are scheduled. No lawsuits have been filed. We'll keep you updated as this story develops.

12-11-2000: Clinton Classic Joke involves Ken Starr having a photo of Monica looking into Clinton's eyes. Right after the joke, Calvert wanders out, tries to open a carton of eggnog (Dave has to help him), drinks from it, licking the carton every so often, and leaves. Dave calls him Bob Keeshan.

12-11-2000: Dave knows two things: if you yank a nose hair out, you'll sneeze; if you put a pile of peanuts in your right hand, you'll shake them.

12-11-2000: Dave returns from vacation, and the first segment of the show takes about half the show time, at over 21 minutes. (Apparently, they came up with a lot of comedy over the break.)

12-11-2000: Desk rant: Dave is upset with those bastards at NASA, so he's doing tonight's show under protest. They put up these solar wings (on the space station?), and now it's the 3rd brightest thing in the night sky, next to the moon and Sirius. Later, Dave gives the address to complain to NASA: NASA Headquarters, Public Affairs Office, 300 E Street SW, Washington, DC 20546.

12-11-2000: Program reminder: Dave will be doing a show for 5000 servicemen at Eagle base in Tuzla, Bosnia on 12/19. Biff is in guest chair now; he went there recently and shot lots of footage to be used on 12/19. He gives Dave a ceremonial coin from a commander. [Biff served 13 months in Vietnam.] We see a clip of Biff giving a newspaper to a serviceman saying "President Philbin". Later, Dave tells a brief World War I story about the 3rd Infantry Division (relating to the coin he was given?). Later still, we find out that, in July 1918, the German advance on Paris was halted at the Marne by the Allies, and the 3rd Division was key in that battle.

12-11-2000: Still photos of Gore--has he put on weight since October?
