12-29-1982: Cold Open: Dave and Paul look for John Candy, who's found backstage overfeeding fish. Also, Natassia Kinski realizes that Dave's comments about her hair have some merit to them.

12-29-1989: Manuel Noriega's Top Ten New Year's Resolutions - 3. When all this is over, send Pope a thank-you kilo.

12-29-1993: CBS Mailbag: Asked if he's demanding "protection money" from his neighbors, Dave drops by the Hello Deli and orders the soup of the day, "Dave Chowder."

12-29-1993: Top Ten Things Overheard On Clinton's Duck Hunting Trip - 3. "When you're shooting, just think of them as Ross Perot."

12-29-1994: Stupid Pet Tricks: Stacey Towns' dog chases his tail whenever the audience applauds. Dave has the dog do the same trick three months later while hosting the Academy Awards, bringing Tom Hanks up onstage to help.

12-29-1994: Top Ten Reasons New York's Population Is Leaving - 1. Two words: The Smell.

12-29-1995: One of the camera lens is dirty, so Dave leaves the theater and borrows a hankerchief from Bryant Gumbel on the Today Show set to clean it.

12-29-1997: Top Ten New York Giants Excuses - 8. Shouldn't have replaced bucket of Gatorade with keg of Coors Light.

12-29-1999: "Late Show's Most Influential People of the Millennium" bit.

12-29-1999: Campaign 2000: The newspapers are interested now; Hillary's people will give an answer in the first two weeks of 2000.

12-29-1999: Full (60 second) credits, including Anton's drum solo (during which the rest of the band leaves).

12-29-1999: Guests Jay Thomas (who hits the top of the tree with a football again) and Nick Nordberg (an 11-year-old who delivered his baby sister but doesn't say much now).

12-29-1999: Pat Farmer's "People I Don't Want To Kiss at Midnight on New Year's Eve": Mary Lou Retton.

12-29-1999: Top Ten Phrases That Were Not Spoken This Millennium.

12-29-2000: CBS Mailbag Letter #1: Michael Burke of Queens writes, "I really love your stagehand Pat Farmer. Would you wish him a happy new year for me?" This leads us to Pat's "People I Don't Want To Kiss on New Year's Eve" bit: Erik Estrada, Andy Rooney, and Alex Trebek. Later, for the second year in a row, Pat adds his brother Jack to the list.

12-29-2000: Dave mentions that tonight's Clinton Classic Joke is from Jan. 1, 1999, but Paul questions whether they did a show on New Year's Day. The joke is about the Times Square ball going down in 10 seconds. Calvert wanders out with a party hat on, blows a noisemaker over and over, and walks out.

12-29-2000: Dave wants to be the first to wish you and your family a Happy Rockin' New Year's Eve. Also, the band plays Dave to the desk with the 20th Century Fox theme, which is appropriate for the last show of the 20th century.

Dave's shoulder is injured from a hunting accident, so he does some behind-the-back practice throws and hits the tree on his second try. Later, we see clips of the last two years of Jay's throws, and then Jay comes out. It takes him quite a few throws to do it, but he finally knocks the meatball off.
