05-15-1984: Chris Elliott is The Panicky Guy who falls in love with an NBC page, played by staffer and future wife Paula Niedert.

05-15-1985: Night 3 in Los Angeles features Michael Keaton and Hugh Hefner. In honor of Hugh's appearance, Paul is dressed in silk lounging pajamas.

05-15-1986: It's the last night of the Neanderthal Skull, so it's given a farewell on the "Ramp 'O' Death" as well as a sung tribute from Will Lee. Also, Eli Wallach narrates "An American Portrait: Chris Elliott," and Sun Record legend Sam Phillips appears on the show drunk.

05-15-1990: Recycling expert Carolyn Jabs offers a tribute to Scotch Tape.

05-15-1990: Top Ten Hubble Telescope Excuses - 7. See if you can think straight after 12 days of drinking Tang. 3. Shouldn't have used G.E. components.

05-15-1995: The Late Show broadcasts from London this week. Ten London Guards bring Dave out onstage, and Elton John reacts to William Shatner's videotaped rendition of "Rocket Man."

05-15-1996: Junior Brown (banjo) sits in with the band. Also, "New Books" bit.

05-15-1996: Top Ten New McDonald's Menu Items for Adults - 1. Quarter Pounder with crack. Also, the stand-by audience watches the show from the roof.

05-15-1997: Dave gets a little annoyed with the audience during Know Your Current Events. Later, Inky does the Watusi.

05-15-1997: Guests: Helen Hunt is wearing a nice outfit, and she talks about laser tag; Susie Maroney is an Australian who swam from Cuba to Florida; Jeffrey Tambour was also a guest.

05-15-1997: Late Show airs its second and last installment of Peanuts, as Lucy once again foils Charlie Brown's attempt to kick a football: "Never mess around with a gangsta bitch."

05-15-1997: Top Ten Signs The New York Knicks Have Gone Nuts - 7. They claim that "Knick" is short for "Knicolas Cage."

05-15-1998: Guest Richard Simmons runs out from the back throwing out beads. Later, we unfortunately learn that he's wearing underwear with Dave's picture on it.

05-15-1998: New Orleans set and New Orleans Quiz. Clip of Biff visiting New Orleans.

05-15-1998: The theater audience consists of residents from New Orleans, as the city's mayor, Marc Morial, gives the Key to the City to Paul. and the audience booed him!

05-15-1998: Top Ten Nicknames for New Orleans (presented by John Goodman) - 5. Where the Saints Go 6-and-10.

05-15-2000: "Where They Stand on the Issues" bit. Also, in honor of Mother's Day, Alan Kalter offers to make "the ladies" mothers.

05-15-2000: A "clip" shows product placement in action (Pringles in the CBS miniseries "Jesus").

05-15-2000: Campaign 2000, starring Maria Pope: Special guest Rob Burnett. Will Lee is getting married tomorrow. Rob will be stepping down as former host of Campaign 2000 and from the Late Show, as his show "Ed" got picked up by NBC. Also, a New York Times reporter loves Campaign 2000. Sponsors: automobiles ("Cars are cool!"), Rudy Giuliani ("What Next!"), and Crystal Clear Party Ice ("Don't feel like a loser").

05-15-2000: Dave shouts out to some youths; he tells a story in which these kids helped him: "Your car's leaking oil, man."

05-15-2000: Felicia is out sick. Peter Frampton (guitar) sits in with the band.

05-15-2000: Top Ten Ways NBC Is Planning on Cutting Back.
