05-19-1982: The Baseball Hall of Fame exhibit includes the First Hot Dog (from 1882), Abner Doubleday's original notebook (with drawings of horses and swordplay), and the first blimp shot inside the Astrodome.

05-19-1983: Another installment of Crushing Things with a Steamroller include an E.T. doll, a bag of assorted jelly beans, and Dave's microphone.

05-19-1986: Michael Jordan describes the shoes he's hawking as having "no white in it." Dave counters with, "Neither does the NBA."

05-19-1987: On the second night in Las Vegas, James Baggett is introduced to the viewing public during a remote called "Elvis, the Drifter, and Me."

05-19-1992: Dave calls Meg Parsont across the street at Simon and Schuster and presents a birthday gift for her: The Jamestown High School Marching Band march by her window on 49th Street playing "Happy Birthday" while forming the letters "M," "E," and "G." In the process, the band holds up rush-hour traffic for blocks.

05-19-1992: Top Ten Good Things About Having a Billionaire for President - 4. Wouldn't have to force his dog to write best-selling book.

05-19-1993: Top Ten Little Known Facts About "Cheers" - 7. Original choice for role of Sam Malone? Bea Arthur.

05-19-1994: Top Ten Signs You Have A Bad Long Distance Company - 6. They bill you for calls made by some guy named Pepe, and when you complain they say, "Whatsa problem, man, you no like Pepe?"

05-19-1995: The last night in London features Salman Rushdie handing Dave the Top Ten and Dave traveling door to door, meeting a friendly chap named Clancy, who loves his veal and beer. Top Ten Bobby Pet Peeves - 7. The way these tall hats make your hair grow like Lyle Lovett.

05-19-1997: "Silver Charm, winner of the Preakness" appears (but appears to be a goat, somehow).

05-19-1997: Dave realizes he's forgotten something, so he leaves the theater and cabs to Yankee Stadium, where it's the bottom of the 9th, two outs, bases loaded, New York behind 4-1. Dave steps up to the plate and pops out to short, ending the game.

05-19-1997: Guests Meg Ryan ("Addicted to Love"), Lance Henriksen ("Millennium"), and Mary Chapin Carpenter.

05-19-1997: Since it's been such a success in NYC, Leonard Tepper's Hidden Video annoys people in Denver.

05-19-1997: Top Ten Things Overheard at the Cannes Film Festival - 1. Le 'Booty Call' -- c'est magnifique!

05-19-1998: A post-mortem on yesterday's fun with the "Friends" billboard includes a drawing of Dave's lawyer crushing "sign guy".

05-19-1998: Real Broadway stars Alice Ripley, Rebecca Luker, Marc Kudisch, Jonathan Dokuchitz, and Donald McDonald perform "On the Moon" from a bogus Broadway play, "One Small Step."

05-19-1998: Summer Movie Quiz. Also, "Al Herman" from the Top Ten Home Office calls in.

05-19-1998: Top Ten Signs You're Watching a Bad Monster Movie - 6. The "monster" appears whenever Bob Dole takes his Viagra.

05-19-1999: Dave's rant about oral surgery includes a mention of Leno's chin. Also, "Summer Movies Late Show Staffers Are Involved In" bit. Later, we see a photo of Yeltsin waiting to see Star Wars.

05-19-1999: Tonight's Secret Word is "turf builder", then shortened to "turf". The jackpot is 400 damn dollars.

05-19-2000: Campaign 2000, starring Maria Pope: This is Rob Burnett's last day on the show, as he'll be going over to NBC to do some show about coming home next year, or something. Sponsors: Chimpanzees, Giuliani, and Party Ice.

05-19-2000: CBS Mailbag: (1) Dave and Paul, on vacation, hear a canyon that sounds like Barry White; (2) Alan has kidnapped the Michigan Lotto winner's dog; (3) Beverly Hills 90210 finale ends with an explosion; (4) Harold Larkin sees a ghost (Dave?).

05-19-2000: Dave interviews guest Ringo Starr as if he's never been on the Late Show before. Later, Ringo sings "With a Little Help from My Friends". Also, the Top Ten List features taped bits with Bill DeLace: Things You Don't Want To Hear While Shopping in the Gap.

05-19-2000: Tonight's show is the "season finale", and a "big surprise" later in the show is promised. The surprise turns out to be a live performance of the lovely dropping-bowling-ball-onto-cinder-blocks-on-head trick, with Tonya Smith and Ken Richmond of Granger, Indiana.
