05-16-1983: Stupid Pet Tricks: a dog (Bioan) barks at a toy dog; a cat (Lug) sits on a frisbee, a dog (Clyde) catches a ball while in a tote bag, and another dog (Babe) jumps over Dave.

05-16-1984: Dave's Health and Grooming Tips include a Cotton-tip drill bit, a Don King shaving brush, and an internal organ ice cube tray.

05-16-1985: Night 4 in Los Angeles features a rare guest appearance with Johnny Carson, who brings out a cardboard desk and completes a joke he began on his own show an hour earlier.

05-16-1989: Dave spoofs the final curtain call from "Family Ties" by bringing the Late Night staff onstage to say farewell. Included are Paul and the band, Biff, NBC Nurse Dennise Robinson, Hal, Debra Norville, and Larry Bud.

05-16-1989: Top Ten Ways Cars Would Be Different If Ralph Nader Had Never Been Born - 9. Seat belts made of piano wire.

05-16-1990: Before Dave gets a chance to begin his Opening Remarks, Bill Wendell introduces Jack Jones, who performs "Well All Right, Ok, You Win."

05-16-1991: Hal opens up the studio "sun roof" and catches two DHL trucks flying by and colliding.

05-16-1994: Paul thinks the show is still in L.A., so Dave has to knock some sense into him by dropping a sandbag on his head. It works.

05-16-1994: Top Ten Reasons We're Glad to be Back in NY - 3. Got tired of eating burgers with Zsa Zsa Gabor.

05-16-1995: Day 2 in London: Current James Bond phenom Pierce Brosnan enters backstage with models and martinis. Later, Dave's mom reports from a pub.

05-16-1995: Top Ten Words That Sound Cool When Spoken By London's Town Crier - 6. Zsa Zsa.

05-16-1996: In the CBS Mailbag, Inky helps Dave, Paul, and Alan announce the letters. (1) New York City joke; (2) McDonald's clown? (3) Fake movie preview "Stripes and Plaid" features Dave and Paul; (4) the CBS Mailbag Singers sing about the letter structure.

05-16-1996: Pat Farmer's Tips on the SAT.

05-16-1996: Top Ten Other Reasons Bob Dole is Leaving the Senate - 4. Bob Dole wants Bob Dole to have time for Bob Dole to learn how to use pronouns.

05-16-1997: An audience couple (with T-shirts asking for Big Ass Hams) comes up to the front, are given hams, and the guy proposes to the woman! Later, guest Jeff Goldblum gives the recently-engaged couple a blender.

05-16-1997: Denver Mayor Wellington Webb brings in the Top Ten List (see above).

05-16-1997: Denver skyline, Denver Quiz, and Paul does a special Denver soul song while surrounded by lookalikes: "Denver, You're a Mile High with Me".

05-16-1997: Stupid Pet Tricks: (1) dog goes nuts over a blow dryer; (2) dog runs on a treadmill; (3) dog plays pool.

05-16-1997: The audience consists of residents from Denver as every Paul Shaffer lookalike from the Denver area comes onstage and surrounds the real Paul.

05-16-1997: Top Ten Our Favorite Colorado Names - 3. Harry Dix, 2. Dick Dix, 1. Dick Smoker. (read by the people themselves)

05-16-2000: "What's the Deal with Old Guys and Giant Glasses?" debuts. Also, Donz5 makes his first(?) post of This Dave to alt.fan.letterman. Coincidence?

05-16-2000: Another anachronistic "promo" for the CBS miniseries "Jesus". Also, Top Ten Coach Bob Knight Tips for Controlling Your Anger.

05-16-2000: Dave is pissed that "Cats" was supposed to close in June and is now closing in September. He sings "midnight and the kitties are sleeping".

05-16-2000: The external camera is on the street; it then goes in to the Hello Deli. Tony Randall is there, but no one has anything.
