02-05-1985: Audio technician Al Frisch invites a couple from the audience to join him on a "Millionaire Weekend" in Paris. Also, Chris Elliott presents Episode 9 of "The Guy Under the Seats": "Roosevelt, a One-Man Show."

02-05-1986: Dave begins his segment on "People Who Won't Be on the Show" but is distracted by gibberish text that starts appearing on the screen and then a camera focusing not on him but rather on a wandering cat. He goes into the control room and finds dogs manning the console. He realizes that tonight is "Dog Night in the Control Room." Also, Dave invades Live-at-Five to annoy Marv Albert interviewing Wayne Gretsky, who appears later on his own show.

02-05-1988: Top Ten Things Our Receptions Say Every Day - 10. "No, Tom Snyder is not here."

02-05-1991: Top Ten Things Peter Arnett Does for Fun - 6. Drives them nuts in Hussein's bunker by repeatedly phoning and asking if "Shlomo" is there.

02-05-1992: In part one of two, Katie Couric interviews Dave on The Today Show as part of NBC's promotion of the upcoming Late Night's Tenth Anniversary Special.

02-05-1993: Top Ten Signs It's a Slow News Day - 10. Al Gore is on the front page of the New York Times. 4. "See page eight for more news about Joe Piscopo."

02-05-1996: Guests Jack Hanna, Aimee Mann, and Tammy Faye Messner. Cold start: Dave's staffer runs out of makeup after making up "a guest".

02-05-1996: Quiz Machine is run by Father Kevin Hannan; it malfunctions again in the middle of the bit.

02-05-1996: Top Ten Insults For Dave Letterman (presented by Don Rickles) - 7. Personally, I liked you better when you were on the cover of Mad" magazine."

02-05-1997: Al Chez (flugelhorn and trumpet) is the new guy in the band?

02-05-1997: Fake clip of the "State of the Union" address--Clinton talks about Burger King?

02-05-1997: Foxyscribe apparently attends the show taping. During segment 4, Dave gives Paul the finger.

02-05-1997: O.J. apparently has an ad in the L.A. Times--a Ford Bronco and a Heisman Trophy are for sale. Also, guest Tony Bennett talks about having a hernia in the White House or something.

02-05-1997: Top Ten O.J. Defense Team Excuses - 4. In retrospect, maybe it was a bad idea to let O.J. host "Saturday Night Live."

02-05-1998: Guests "Honeymoon, the Hero Pig" and the cast of "Ragtime".

02-05-1998: Know Your Current Events contestant #1 is quite well-spoken (Sandra from Holland, a United Nations intern).

02-05-1998: Top Ten Overheard at the Nancy Kerrigan/Tonya Harding Interview - 7. You slept with the President? Me too!

02-05-1998: Top Ten Things Overheard at the Nancy Kerrigan/Tonya Harding interview. Also, guests "Honeymoon, the Hero Pig" and the cast of "Ragtime".

02-05-1999: Nile Rogers again. CBS Mailbag: (1) Movie Stars on Public Service signs; (2) Late Show Equity Growth Fund? (3) voices in staffers' heads-- should they tell Dave the truth? (4) Paul teaches Dave about the millennium actually starting in 2001.

02-05-1999: Top Ten Duties of the Miss USA Pageant Runner-Up. Also, Stupid Pet Tricks: (1) drinks from fountain; (2) walks down steps on front paws; (3) back flip over other dog while catching frisbee!

02-05-2001: A non-Calvert wanders through. Also, Dave complained about color of his desk so there's some blue paper or something wrapped around it.

02-05-2001: Campaign 2000: Survivor II Castaway Kel Gleason appears. He was the second one kicked off. He has a military background (Army captain). Dave brings him back at the end to ask him if he was smuggling beef jerky.

02-05-2001: Dave calls Art, who says that callers want to know who the guests are for the week, etc. Dave asks Steph to tape Queen Latifah for him, and also Jackass.

02-05-2001: Dave says he was gullible. He believed that the XFL would really be Xtreme. The 1st score ever was a 25 yard FG. Also, an XFL clip from halftime shows a fat guy getting his back/butt rubbed!

02-05-2001: External camera: the "blizzard" is really a light snow fall.

02-05-2001: Fake CBS Thursday promo: Survivor at 8, CSI at 9, then switch over to NBC for ER at 10, then watch Tonight Show with Jay Leno at 11:30. [Not that anyone's bitter about this.]

02-05-2001: Pat Farmer brings Dave a glass of New York City slush. Later in the show, Dave drinks it, or something that looks like it....

02-05-2001: Tonight's WWP quote to close the show: "Boy, did that suck."
