02-09-1983: Audience Book Reports: Joanne Hickman and Ron McCoy review "Shogun" and "Fame."

02-09-1984: Steve Martin displays his valuable antique Chinese Ceramics on the show. Most are eventually destroyed by a wondering boom mike, camera, elbow, and tennis balls. However, a herd of goats and sheep walk through the exhibit and knock down nothing.

02-09-1988: Cold Open: Dave searches and finds his keys in the hair of "Priscilla Presley" (staffer Bridget Jackson). Dave introduces a new segment called "Dave's Spool Collection," but Paul has no theme for it, so he plays the "Shows on Other Channels" theme, and Dave decides to do "Shows on Other Channels" instead.

02-09-1988: God's Top Ten Pet Peeves - 8. Just can't seem to get California to fall in the ocean.

02-09-1989: John Tower's Top Ten Pick-Up Lines - 2. "Do you take Mastercard?"

02-09-1990: Dave needs one more guest, so he leaves the GE Building, taxi's to Tony Randall's apartment, and brings Tony back to the studio.

02-09-1990: Top Ten Ways CBS Can Fill that Extra Minute on Sixty Minutes - 7. Show the Mike Tyson/Buster Douglas fight -- twice.

02-09-1993: Top Ten Signs J. Edgar Hoover Was Gay - 4. Top advisors: cowboy, construction worker, and Indian chief.

02-09-1994: It's the 30th anniversary of the Beatles' first appearance on the Ed Sullivan stage, so Dave introduces their return: To the shrieks of the crowd, Calvert DeForest comes out and sings "All My Loving."

02-09-1994: Top Ten Signs The Beatles May Be Here Tonight - 2. Yoko Ono spotted outside theater holding lead pipe.

02-09-1995: Rejected FDA Items include Vicks Vap-O-Rubbed Chicken, Tacks Ahoy, Arafat-Lambchop with Stubble, and Jocelyn Elders' Soup for One. Later, Superbowl champion quarterback Steve Young throws footballs into taxis outside on Broadway.

02-09-1996: "New Valentine's Day Cards" bit.

02-09-1996: Again, Dave pleads for Liz Taylor to come on the show; this time, he offers her a lawn mower.

02-09-1996: Dave airs the "correct" version of the current HBO movie, "The Late Shift," with Leonard Tepper as an NBC pinhead and Harvey Fiestein as Morty.

02-09-1996: The Top Ten blue card is delivered by Olympian Dan Jansen - The Top Ten Things I Like About Liz Taylor - 7. Sent me a note after Academy Awards: "You didn't suck quite as bad as everyone says."

02-09-1998: Dave's mom airs a report on the Curling competition at the Winter Olympics in Nagano.

02-09-1998: John Elway takes the "Late Show Quarterback Challenge," as does Richard Simmons.

02-09-1998: More ski-jumping dogs, this time with close-ups, and scores.

02-09-1998: Opening Ceremonies Quiz.

02-09-1998: Top Ten Reasons The United States is The Best Country on The Face of The Earth - 5. Mexico invented the burrito, but we made it microwaveable!

02-09-1999: A planned bit (videotaping luggage on a carousel in Dallas) was nixed by the city, so instead we go to Preston Luggage and Gifts.

02-09-1999: Top Ten: What Dumb Guys Think "Y2K" Is (#1 read by Al of Preston Luggage).

02-09-2000: Late Show 2000, Comedy Under Siege*: Late Show Backstage #3 is hosted by Paul Shaffer from L.A.

02-09-2000: LSB guests are Bruce Willis and Martin Short; Martin and Paul do a little song at the end of the show.
