02-24-1982: Eighty-one-year-old vaudeville comedian Chaz Chase spends his segment with Dave eating a lit cigar, a cigarette, matches, rose stems, and a tiny harmonica before suddenly leaving the set, only to return and eat a paper towel, a cardboard vest, and the show's script. What he won't eat: ham and bacon.

02-24-1983: Pam Kellerher, a Radio City Music Hall Rockette for a decade, high-kicks to "New York, New York" as video effects multiply her image to 33 dancers.

02-24-1986: Brushes With Greatness include drinking and dancing with Telly Savalas, accidently taking Lauren Bacall's luggage at an airport, and sharing a sauna with Daryl Dawkins.

02-24-1987: Dave calls Indiana U. basketball coach Bobby Knight to pump life into the show.

02-24-1988: First scheduled guest John Waters is still being interviewed across the hall at Live-at-Five, so Dave stalls by chasing Barbara Gaines around the set.

02-24-1997: All night long, Dick Weber bowls out on 53rd Street at various targets: (1) 10 pins (gets a spare), (2) aquarium of vanilla pudding, (3) bowl of marbles on a stool, (4) lava lamps, (5) TV monitor with Paul's face on it, (6) rotating display case of pies, (7) stacked fishbowls containing neon paint, (8) mockup of Dave holding a wedding cake, and (9) a pyramid of Colt 45.

02-24-1997: Guests: Bill Cosby tells a few stories about his son (who was recently murdered), bowls at some fluorescent lights, and plays cowbell on Tina Turner's song; David Hacker is a Las Vegas cabbie who found a wallet containing $20000, returned it, and got a $2000 reward. 02-24-1998: Last night, Rob Burnett and Paul Shaffer were on the Cosby show; we see a clip of it. Also, the Late Show News Review includes Letterman lookalike decoys.

02-24-1999: "Dave vs Grammy Nominees" bit. Also, Dave takes live phone calls from Sweden.

02-24-1999: CNN fake featurette on "Star Wars".

02-24-1999: Tonight's Secret Word is "barnacle".

02-24-1999: Top Ten Signs the Clintons Are Your Neighbors.

02-24-2000: Guest host Kathie Lee Gifford mocks Dave and Regis, does a song about herself with corny sound effects, and does sit in Dave's chair.

02-24-2000: Guests Tom Arnold, Joy Behar, and Linda Eder.
