02-10-1982: While being interviewed with Rick Moranis to plug their McKenzie Brothers film "Strange Brew," Dave Thomas falls asleep.

02-10-1983: Dave calls early-riser Jane Pauley to prove that the show is videotaped seven hours before airtime.

02-10-1986: Peeved that CBS late night programming is being promoted as "CBS Late Night," Dave reads the CBS movie schedule. Featured movies include episodes from "Remington Steele."

02-10-1987: Dave checks backstage to find out if the drain is moving in a clockwise direction and then calls the Fiji Islands to compare.

02-10-1988: Late Night features a live remote from the Food Emporium Supermarket on 66th and Broadway in Manhattan-- just 16 blocks away from Studio 6A, but 45,000 miles via satellite.

02-10-1989: It's the Al Maher's Box 'O' Thrills' last appearance on the show: the platform itself falls and destroys the camera but not the breakaway desk.

02-10-1993: Top Ten Signs Hillary Is in Charge - 7. Secret Service code name for President Clinton: "Mr. Mom." 6. New law prohibiting spelling Gennifer with a "G."

02-10-1994: Throughout the show, Bruno Kirby plays a cop "on the edge!" Later, guests Siskel and Ebert also participate in the bit.

02-10-1994: Top Ten Questions Connie Chung Asked Tonya Harding - 4. "When he hit Nancy in the knee, did it sort of sound like 'Chunnnggg'?"

02-10-1995: The Roof Cam catches two hot dog vendors smashing their carts into each other, then dueling each other with the carts' giant umbrellas. (See 1997)

02-10-1995: Top Ten Reasons Quayle Dropped Out of the Race - 8. Wants to devote more time to looking for Waldo.

02-10-1997: "Dave Talks To Fan Club Presidents" includes Kenny Rogers on the phone, "Parallel Parking with Mark Hamill", Leonard Tepper as the president of Dave's Fan Club, and Tony Randall as the president of the Tony Randall Fan Club.

02-10-1997: Dave shows us that he's on the cover of the current TV Guide. In "Bob Borden's Valentine's Day Tips", Martha Stewart appears.

02-10-1997: Felicia comes close to flipping Dave off after he mocks her hat. Also, Dave installs his artificial tooth.

02-10-1997: In a remote featuring Dave talking to various fan club presidents, a swordfight breaks out between the "Cats" and "Star Wars" fans. (See 1995)

02-10-1997: Stupid Pet Tricks: (1) Dog mimics owner to get snacks (or socks?); (2) pig eats peppermint then "enjoys its breath"; (3) dog sings along with a man and a woman. In segment 5, the bonus pet trick is a dog picking up a heavy weight.

02-10-1997: Top Ten Signs Your Wife is Having an Affair with the President - 4. During sex, she accidentally screams out, "Tubby!"

02-10-1998: [In the San Francisco area, the show started 53 minutes late, due to the Olympics.] The band plays Dave over to the desk with "Back Home in Indiana". Dave's mom appears from Nagano, with Biff and Carolyn. We see a Fake Olympic Coffee Mug, which has one of the rings on the logo unlinked (in order to avoid copyright problems).

02-10-1998: Dave goes door to door in New Jersey talking about the Olympics. "Boris and Olga" from this bit appear live in luge suits. Also, it's snowing in the green room on guest Bill Cosby.

02-10-1998: The Blues Brothers reunite, with Eddie Floyd and Wilson Picket sharing vocals with Dan Ackyroyd and John Goodman on the tune "634-5789."

02-10-1998: Top Ten Rejected Olympic Events - 5. The 4-man freestyle whoopdedoo.

02-10-1999: Dave rants about sharing a website with the rest of CBS. "Valentine's Day Cards" bit. Also, the external camera shows us Bob Borden on Broadway; he tries to get a Valentine.

02-10-1999: Dave shows a picture of the "subversive" Teletubbies. Later, Top Ten Jerry Fallwell Pet Peeves about TV.

02-10-2000: Late Show 2000--Comedy Under Siege offers up Late Show Backstage #4, with host Regis and guests Bill Cosby and Sarah Jessica Parker.

02-10-2000: LSB #4 rerun clips include Cosby going outside and hailing a cab (driven by Buket) and (later) Cosby and Tito Puente climbing a ladder to the balcony (in a memorable Late Show from March 1995). Back in 2000, Pat Farmer mentions that the ladder was actually faulty; we're lucky it didn't collapse.
