04-29-1983: Tonight is Audience Fish-Cleaning Night, a 90-minute special, featuring Mariel Hemingway helping the audience members skin fish onstage.

04-29-1986: Late Night begins closing its show with a videotape of the official General Electric handshake.

04-29-1987: Paul needs some ice, so he and Dave go "upstairs" and retrieve ice out of the refrigerator in the NBC newsroom, while Tom Brokaw is pretending to broadcast the news.

04-29-1992: Top Ten Things Overheard at the President's Fundraiser - 2. "You're incredibly wealthy too? What a coincidence!"

04-29-1993: Top Ten Things Overheard During Take Your Daughter To Work Day - 8. "Mrs. Paul, your daughter just saw the secret fish-stick recipe. Now she must die!" 6. "This is the director's chair, Soon-Yi."

04-29-1994: Due to lack of time, guest Dan Wilkinson, who was first pick in the NFL Draft, is bumped. Dave tries to make up for it by showing a polaroid of Dan across the street at Flashdancer's.

04-29-1996: Dave's Mom appears on the show to promote her cookbook. During a cooking demonstration, she makes Dave's favorite snack, fried baloney sandwiches.

04-29-1996: It's the debut of the beloved Jumbostar 300.

04-29-1996: Regis Philbin is a guest, and we get the song "You Make Me Feel So Young".

04-29-1996: Top Ten New Ford Slogans - 9. Have you driven a Ford to the fire station lately?

04-29-1996: With the new quiz machine, Page Dickinson from Kansas City helps, and the three guys open their coats to reveal the answers.

04-29-1997: A Charlie Brown Special: Charlie Brown declares, "I think I am a lesbian."

04-29-1997: Dave talks to a cabbie (who ignores his fare) and puts two "interesting" guys from the audience in the cab and hoses the cab down. Later, the hose is turned on the two guys.

04-29-1997: Guests Robin Williams ("Father's Day") and Tanya Tucker.

04-29-1998: Dave announces Tom Snyder's upcoming retirement. Also, New Books.

04-29-1998: Dave gives giant plastic bottles of Viagra to guest Hugh Hefner.

04-29-1998: Dave's Roll Call includes the Guy on Fire and is sponsored by Highland Metals, Inc.

04-29-1998: Top Ten Ten Oldest Man in the World's Last Words - 6. Oh sure, now there's an impotence pill.

04-29-1999: A shot of a guy in the audience accompanies the Top Ten Things This Guy Wishes He Were Doing Instead of Sitting Here.

04-29-1999: Dave points out that all medical dramas are the same.

04-29-1999: On the screen is "Alan Kalter is a jackass", so Alan punches Jerry Foley, and then finishes off Celebrity Birthdays.

04-29-1999: Tonight's Secret Word is "carrot" for 100 dollars. Last night's winner is Jay Johnson of Cleveland Heights, OH; Dave and the ladies fly out there to surprise him.
