09-17-2001: After a week of repeats, a week during which the World Trade Center was destroyed and thousands killed by foreign attack, Dave returns to the airwaves and offers a testimonial to the attack, the victims, the heroes, the mayor, and to the city of New York. His words prove cathartic to the rest of the nation and paves the way for the entertainment industry to ease back into a new normalcy. The week's events catch up with the show's first guest, Dan Rather, who breaks down twice. Regis then comes on to provide needed relief. A classic program.
