09-21-1983: Dave waits for the cable guy to install Cable Television in his Connecticut home. Meanwhile, back in the studio, guest Charles Grodin talks to Dave on a TV monitor, and Jerry Seinfeld is interviewed by Paul. The show wins an Emmy.

09-21-1986: Dave co-hosts the Emmy Awards with Shelley Long. The week before, Dave tells Paul: "I don't sing, I don't dance, and I don't want to be around people who do."

09-21-1987: Tonight's rerun is sped up slightly, so that there'll be six extra minutes at the end for a brand new segment. After the rerun, Dave and Paul spend those six minutes looking at photos from Paul's childhood.

09-21-1993: Top Ten Signs Your Neighbor Is A Talk Show Host - 7. At his cookout, "Who wants hamburgers?" is written out on a cue card.

09-21-1994: Rejected FDA Products: Advil on the Cob, Live Angry Hornets, and Hudson River Fudgsicles.

09-21-1995: Dave challenges an audience member to eat an entire three pound ham during the show. He manages half of it by the end of the show.

09-21-1999: Third time for high school junior Paul from Nutlee, NJ to attempt the parallel parking, this time between a $165K Aston Martin and a $500K Ferrari. Paul fails twice.

09-21-1999: Top Ten Pickup Lines Most Frequently Used on Miss America.

09-21-2001: Desk jokes include one about a sure sign of autumn in New York: a nut gathering squirrels.

09-21-2001: In "Stump the Band", the third player is Daniel, a disaster relief volunteer from southeastern Illinois. He says "sorry" when Dave says he's from Indiana. The song is "I Like School", and Will Lee gets it wrong, so Daniel wins dinner at Sardi's. But did his kid make up the song to the tune of "Frere Jacques"?

09-21-2001: Paul is Carnac (in a bit from 1976): King Tut, Foster Brooks, and Gerald Ford. "Name a mummy, a rummy, and a dummy."

09-21-2001: Stump the Band returns to the air. Meredith Vieira and Stephen Ambrose close out the week, Vieira getting through it with wine, Ambrose with a quote from Eisenhower. Sheryl Crow, Emmylou Harris, and Gillian Welch perform "Rising Star" and "Will the Circle Be Unbroken?"

09-21-2001: Top Ten Magician Pet Peeves - 9. You've got a cold and all your handkerchiefs keep turning into doves.
