09-27-1996: Matthew Broderick is again a guest, this time promoting a film he directed about the quirky physicist Richard Feynman. [Note: "Surely You're Joking, Mr. Feynman!" is a highly entertaining read for physicists and non-physicists alike.]

09-27-1996: Tony creates an eclipse, using cue cards; later, he creates a meteor shower.

09-27-1996: Top Ten Signs You're Married to a Spy - 1. You tried to use his ball-point pen and accidentally shot yourself in the ass.

09-27-1999: Dave complains that his dentist screwed up his bite plane.

09-27-1999: Dave mentions Paul's appearance in yesterday's 25th anniversary Saturday Night Live special.

09-27-1999: The "dog that finds truffles" doesn't actually find any. Also, Top Ten Low Points during Dan Quayle's Presidential Campaign.

09-27-1999: Tom Waits does the "Chocolate Jesus" song.

09-27-2000: "If I Were President" bit: Miss Markey's kindergarten class at Pointer Ridge Elementary in Bowie, MD did drawings.

09-27-2000: Dave amends what he said earlier about never having registered with a political party: in 1984 he registered as a Democrat, but not since.

09-27-2000: Dave rants about NBC's Olympic coverage: they didn't cover the high jump, but they did do a profile of a Ukrainian swimmer who suffers from acid reflux? Also, Top Ten Signs an Olympic Athlete Is Using Steroids - 3. Future plans--run for Governor of Minnesota. This list leads to a discussion of whether the term "left biceps" is correct (or should it be "left bicep"). Viewers across the land slept much easier after it was revealed that the former is correct.

09-27-2000: Left and right profile photos reveal why Barbra Streisand only allows herself to be photographed from the left.

09-27-2001: Alan and Paul are both out for Yom Kippur. Also, Dave hints at a story and only tells us that he now has Mike Ditka's phone number. At show's end, the credits scroll over a still of Ditka.

09-27-2001: Biff Henderson's America (re-run from February) visits Franklin, Idaho (population: 478 humans and 500,000 chickens) and a 99-year-old polka dancer.

09-27-2001: Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton panels during three acts, talking about the world post-9/11.

09-27-2001: Top Ten Things You Don't Want To Hear from Tom Selleck - 2. "Quick, don't ask questions. Give me your pants." Note: earlier, Selleck was taping this list for the show and a magazine journalist thought he was drunk.
