01-04-1984: Ask Mr. Melman: a female Pre-Med student asks Larry, "How far should a girl go with a guy on a first date?" Larry: "If you can't talk a little, even a pretty girl can be pretty boring." Also: Dave hangs upside down during a demonstration of gravity boots: "This is the opposite of refreshing."

01-04-1989: Dave is angry that the show won't be able to use the Goodyear Blimp for its upcoming 7th Anniversary Special, so he introduces the Late Night Tire Testing: Michelin vs. Goodyear. Of course, the Goodyear tire is quickly destroyed. A photo shows the blimp displaying on its message area the words "Bite me."

01-04-1999: This Monday show marks the beginning of a week-long experiment: each show will feature a stand-up comic making his/her network TV debut as a stand-up comic. (The experiment actually lasts 2 days.) Today: Bryan Callen.
