When i saw that episode Willie took my heart! he is the cutest guy i ever seen!!! i love him soo much!! anyway, eight is enough is great! i don't like any 90's stuff, even though i should be into the backstreet boys or some rap stuff but i think the 90's suck! i LOVE the 60's and 70's!! I LOVE The Monkees, The Doors, The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Hermans Hermits, Bobby Sherman, Leif Garrett, Shaun and David Cassidy!! i am in 8th grade too. Well thats me, write me if you want!

Welcome to the wonderful world of "Eight Is Enough". It really is a great show. And you'll find this message board is really groovy :-)It's so fun to see young people today into the 60's and 70's. I grew up with the "EIE" kids and I can tell you they are much better role models than some of the teen characters on tv these days. (That is, the characters---some of the actors and actresses had their problems, but the important thing is that they have gotten their lives back on track and are doing great. I am so happy for all of them) Anyway, this is a very active message board and a very interesting site. I have a niece who is 13 and she LOVES "Eight Is Enough". She watches it with me all the time. She also likes David Cassidy. Well, thanks for letting us know about Willie Aames' movie and I'm glad you get to watch the entire show now.

I'm 40 years of age and I can tell you that the so-called singing and acting teen hunks of the 1970's have more compassion for their crafts than the male idols of the 90's.I can remember that back then, they were selling basically good looks to the teen females of the time. From a male viewpoint, the songs they made popular are classics 20 years down the road with their thoughtful lyrics and carefully crafted poetry. The late Andy Gibb, Wings, Herman's Hermits, Buddy Holly, Beatles, Shaun Cassidy, Stevie Wonder (who was 13 when he scored his #1 hit Fingertips in 1962), the Temptations, the Spinners, Peter Frampton, et al, had not only the females screaming at them for more, but their music related to the males and older females as they too found the music enjoyable in a non-idolistic way.
What's missing from this so-called top 40 of the 90's is compassion, responsibility, dedication, and instead I witness the selling of sex, computerized correction, sampling from other songs, annoying outdated alternative punk, and I just don't understand it today.
Getting back to TV, aside of Eight is Enough, I did find 70's shows such as The Odd Couple, M*A*S*H, Happy Days, and even Welcome Back Kotter better written programming than what passes for TV entertainment today.
Maybe I'm old, but good programming does transcend the age barrier and even a kid is smart enough to spot a turkey on TV when they see it.

Message:When watching 8 Is Enough in my high school era, I kept up with Willie Aames' music career. He got a chance to perform 5 times on Eight Is Enough; The Final Days/Holly/The Way We Were/The Best Little Telethon in Sacramento/Yet Another 7 Days In February. So COOL when Tommy jammed on guitar & sang. Even in real life, he had Willie Aames & Paradise. I only saw them on the 1979 Easter Seal Telethon & Kids Are People Too. He also had a 45 lp out I still got!
My question, did he ever had a 33 1/3 out? Any trivia releated to Willie Aames & Paradise I never knew of would be appreciated.

Willie Aames is my absolute favorite actor of all time!! I knew about his band Paradise and I have seen them on Kids Are people Too and Telethon years ago. He was in the movie Savenger Hunt and in one scene when he is in a van, his music plays on the radio. I can not rememeber the name of the song. I do not have any music of his. Could you please tell me the songs on your 45, so I may see if I can find it anywhere. Thanks

I don't know about his music. But, I had an interview of him from the early 80's in a magazine for kids called Bananas. Anyone else see this? I remember him saying it was unrealistic for so many adults in their 20's to all still be living at home. I don't know where this magaize is....anyone?
