Message:Thanks for the support yous guys on the green color issue. I am a true Eight is Enough fan, and when your little you don't question color schemes on a TV show. Now that I am older, I can appreciate it more and analyze the show. After watching it since it came back to TV, I just noticed the green color was used alot in their house. I didn't even know that, that was the color of the time. My next question is, Does anyone have a favorite episode of EIE? And has anyone seen the last past two episodes with Tom writing his family bio and Abby discipling Nicolas on guns, poor Abby. Joan was such a great mother, but in my opinion, Abby is the best because she married into a large family that wasn't hers and was willing to take on the responsibility of a large family.

Was when Nicholas ran away to San Diego.. I thought the "gun issue" was pretty hip for the 80's. It seems like " no guns for boys " was really in vogue in the 90's. I guess Abby was before her time.

The recently aired Christmas episode was my favorite, I can relate to all the loss of parent/ step-parent issues, I also lost my step-parent, but this episode makes me cry everytime for Tommy and everyone. I knew just how he felt, that his mother was so special, and she was. Abby is especially warm in this one. BTW Abby/Betty is such a sweetie!

I like the San Franciso episode since it finally allowed those poor people to get out of Sacramento! (What a major deal they made about going to San Francisco and it's only 90 minutes from their home) I also liked the show where Abby and Tom weren't talking and the way they made up! What a great couple they are!

my fave episodes are the ones where they have large and uncontrollable parties. in other news, the church of adam richology is currently opening in berkeley, california, not in sacramento as previously posted.

actually i really like the episode where the guys from chips guest starred. susan got a job as a new-wave singer and her band equipment got stolen by a bunch of rotten punks. for some reason everybody calls her "snow pink". she sings two rather reasonable tunes-"little child" and a cover of "shake it up baby". none of the other cast members appear for some reason. and they show the chips opening credits by accident instead of the traditional eie start.

Actually, Susan Richardson was a guest star in the 1982 episode of CHiPs, not the other way around.

Are you making that up?

My favorite episode is "War Between the Bradfords" The food fight was great - Especially when David threw the meatball at Mary. I remember my sister's and I getting a kick out of that scene when the show originally aired in the 70's, and I still find it funny today. Now, that could mean it was a memorable scene or I just haven't grown up yet.... I'd probably have to say I haven't grown up:-). No, just kidding, it was a fun episode.

Thought it might be interesting to find out everyone's favorite episode.
My fav is "Memories". I think it really showcased Betty Buckley's acting. She was just
fantastic! And as a bonus, she even sang a little ("You made me love you...")! :-)

I agree. "Memories" is one of my favorites too. It was one of the few episodes that showed
real emotion and depth - i.e. acting. I also like the Tom and Abby wedding episode a lot.
It just occurred to me, the irony of the title "memories", considering the impact the song
"memory" has had on her career since EiE.

Okay first off... confession time... "You Made Me Love You" makes me sob everytime.
Next, my favorite episode(s) are "Memories", "War Of The Bradfords" and "The Night They
Raided The Bradfords" (Hiccup) LOL Those are in order of importance.

OK, you got me curious. I just looked through the Episode Guide for all 5 seasons and
couldn't find one called "You Made Me Love You." Which one was it? Are you sure you got
the name right?
Some of my favorites are the Hawaii episodes, "Horror Story", "The Night They Raided the
Bradfords," "A Little Triangle", and all those "7 Days in February" ones. Also, the ones
with Auntie V. in them.

One of my favorite episodes is "The War Between the Bradfords" because it's so much fun
to watch (especially the food fight). All the characters are involved! I also loved
"Quarantine," although Betty Buckley was not in it...so that's a definate loss. Still,
it's hilarious the way everyone is trying to get along when they are stuck inside the
house. My favorite Buckley episode...i think it would be "Dear Miss Dinah." Abby and
Tom are fighting and then Elizabeth confronts Abby about going on the pill. I've
watched that one several times, I think. =D

Actually, "You Made Me Love You" is not the name of an episode but is the song Betty
Buckley sings in the episode "Memories".

hey there,
i'm new here but i'll jump right in -
(warning: i'm not good w/ ep. names) but my all time fave is 'horror story' followed
by the one where susan, joanie (my favorite) and nancy all date different guys in a
'7 days in feb.' ep. joanie dates 'josh' (i think?) who's a moody playwrite.

I have to say that my favorite episode was Yes Nikolas, There Is A Santa Clause. I loved
how a present from Joan brought the family together with Abby.
